Salaams mummies. Hope you are all well inshaAllah. I am sure you are all aware of the sad circumstances, due to which we cancelled class. Our condolences to the bereaved family. Please do recite a Surah Fateha for Marhuma.
We decided to put up a lesson anyway for you all to do with your children. After all, mom’s lap is the first Madressa.
For Qur’an this week we had decided to introduce the letter ‘baa’. Pictures of the flashcards are below. Also please keep revising Surah Ikhlas Ayah 1 with your children.
As the focus on Tareekh is going to be on Bibi Sakina, we decided to introduce the concept of water etiquettes. Pictures with the writeup are below. We suggest that over the next week, we all practice these etiquettes whenever possible. Children’s minds’ are so impressionable. InshaAllah with the Wasila of Bibi Sakina, our children will begin to practice all these etiquettes.
1. Say Bismillah before you drink water.
2. Drink with your right hand.
3. Drink slowly...
4. ...And in 3 sips.
5. Drink water while standing in the day.
6. Sit and drink at night.
7. Do not drink from a cracked or chipped glass.
8. Say alhamduLillah when you are done.
9. Always remember Imam Hussain and send Salaams on him.
This week we are focusing on Bibi Sakina and the story board is included in this post. Please see the next post for the Bibi Sakina activity.
Today, we are going to talk about Bibi Sakina.
Her baba was Imam Hussain and her mama was Bibi Rubab. She also had a baby brother called Hazrat Ali Asghar.
Every night she used to sleep on her Baba's chest.
She used to do perfect Hijab and loved to recite Qur'an.
But when she was four years old, something bad happened.
She went to Karbala with her family. She and the other children were thirsty there for three days.
On the day of Aashura, her baba and baby brother became Shaheed.
Then the bad people put her and her family in prison. She used to cry a lot there remembering her Baba.
Even though she was so sad, she would hug the other Bibis to make them happy. She was very good and kind.
Now her Zarih is in Shaam and we can visit her there.
Thanks a lot mums. Hope your children find this week’s lesson interesting iA and learn lots.
